US19/20-04: Consent Calendar (slight revision to Grad Council membership)
THEREFORE BE IT MOVED that the university senate approves the following change to the membership of the Graduate Council:
Revise the Ex Officio, Non-Voting representative from UOCC (added per US15/16-18) to Voting;
Rationale: to help ensure that knowledge of the UO curricula policies is incorporated into actions taken on the committee and that UO curricular policies are followed. This action also creates consistency with the Ex Officio, Voting representative from the UOCC on the Undergraduate Council, a seat created with the same goal in mind.

3.2 THEREFORE BE IT MOVED that the University Senate approves the Revisions to III.08.06: Credit for Courses taught in High School

3.1 THEREFORE BE IT MOVED that the University Senate approves the REPEAL of 09.00.01 Animals in Research and Instruction.
3.2 THEREFORE BE IT MOVED that the University Senate approves the REVISIONS to IMD 2.030 Credit for Courses Taught in High Schools or Through Distance Education.
Consent Calendar Process (Per US17/18-04)
1.1 WHEREAS any Senator may question an item’s inclusion in the Consent Calendar prior to the final vote. The Senate President shall ask the Senator to explain the objection and then shall ask if someone else wishes to second the objection. If so, an item shall be removed and shall come before the Senate for consideration instead as a regular, debatable motion under the Senate’s normal rules of order.
1.2 WHEREAS The Senate shall vote en bloc and without debate on any items on a Consent Calendar, except for any item that has been removed in accordance with paragraph 2.1.2.
1.3 WHEREAS Senators shall receive at least 5 business days’ notice of items placed on a Consent Calendar before that Consent Calendar may come before the Senate for approval. Such notice can be via email, via the Senate website and blog, or via other practical means for communicating with Senators.
