Section I

1.1 WHEREAS motions (US14/15-07 through 15b), passed by the Senate in October-December 2014 were inappropriately designated as “legislation" rather than “policy”; and

1.2 WHEREAS careful designation is important for the functioning of shared governance,

Section II     

2.1 BE IT THEREFORE MOVED that the Proposed Revisions to Student Conduct Code Dealing with Sexual Misconduct (US14/15-07 through 15b), passed by the Senate in October-December 2014 as “Legislation”, be redesignated as “Policy proposals.” 

2.2 BE IT FURTHER MOVED that the University President is requested to deal with these motions under the part of the University Constitution applicable to Policies.
