Section I

1.1 WHEREAS, the Graduate Council is charged by the University Senate to “advise the Dean of the Graduate School on matters pertaining to graduate study at the University of Oregon”; and

1.2 WHEREAS, the Graduate Council has responsibility for “providing for the maintenance of high standards of graduate instruction”; and

1.3 WHEREAS, the Graduate Council and the Graduate School have fully reviewed and endorsed the proposal for delivery of the Masters of Science Historic Preservation program at the University of Oregon Portland location and recommend that the Provost forward it to the University of Oregon Board of Trustees, and the statewide Provosts’ Council for approval;

2.1. BE IT HEREBY MOVED that the University Senate approves the recommendation of the Graduate Council and Graduate School:

              2.1.1      OUS Proposal for Delivery of Historic Preservation Program to a New Location
