Section I

1.1 WHEREAS, Policy Number 02.99.02, concerning the conferral of posthumous degrees, was approved by the UO Senate on 04/17/2013; and

1.2 WHEREAS, Policy Number 02.99.02 was approved by President Michael Gottfredson on 07/15/2013;

Section II

2.1 BE IT HEREBY MOVED that, except in the section “Enactment and Revision History,” all references to the Vice President for Student Affairs in Policy Number 02.99.02 be changed to Vice President for Student Life, to be consistent with the University’s new administrative structure, since as of 7/1/2014 the division renamed itself Division of Student Life; and

2.2 BE IT HEREBY MOVED that the Senate sees no need for change to Policy Number 02.99.02 (also known as Bonine # 724) and therefore it is hereby reaffirmed, without the need for further action or Presidential signature.
