Section I

1.1 WHEREAS, the current membership of the Committee on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence has proved to be too large too allow it to convene with a quorum on a regular basis; and

1.2 WHEREAS said committee can and should invite administrators, experts, and representatives of various campus constituencies to its meetings to consult on matters relevant to their charge;

Section II:

2.1 BE IT HEREBY MOVED that the membership of the Committee on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence be changed as follows:

"Membership of the Committee on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence will consist of:

Nine voting members: Three faculty members elected at large, one faculty member appointed by the faculty of the Department of Women's and Gender Studies (this faculty member does not need to be a member of the Department of Women's and Gender Studies), one member of the faculty of the Law School appointed by the senate president, one graduate student appointed by the ASUO, one undergraduate student appointed by the ASUO, one Officer of Administration, and one member of the classified staff appointed by the Service Employees International Union; and

Three ex officio, non-voting members: the Director of Crisis Intervention and Sexual Violence Support Services, the AVP/Title IX Coordinator and the General Counsel or their designee."
