Section I

1.1  WHEREAS the Tenure Reduction, Retirement, and Emeriti Committee has not been filled, has not met and has not filed annual reports for the last four years; and

1.2  WHEREAS the Tenure Reduction, Retirement, and Emeriti Committee charge has been superseded by the UA Collective Bargaining Agreement (rendering the group unnecessary); and

1.3  WHEREAS it is a simple and straightforward process to reconstitute a committee should it be deemed needed once more; and

1.4  WHEREAS convening unneeded committees uses up valuable time and resources that could be allocated elsewhere;

Section II

2.1 THEREFORE BE IT MOVED that the Senate elects to disband theTenure Reduction, Retirement, & Emeriti Committee, effective immediately.
