Section I

1.1  WHEREAS the ROTC Committee has not met regularly for many years, it is difficult to fill, and currently serves an unclear purpose for the university and the ROTC program; and

1.2  WHEREAS it is a simple and straightforward process to reconstitute a committee should it be deemed needed once more; and

1.3  WHEREAS convening unneeded committees uses up valuable time and resources that could be allocated elsewhere;

Section II

2.1 THEREFORE BE IT MOVED that the University Senate elects to disband the ROTC Committee, effective immediately.
