Section I

1.1 WHEREAS the Graduate Council is charged by the University Senate to "advise the Vice Provost of Graduate Studies on matters pertaining to graduate study at the University of Oregon;" and

1.2 WHEREAS the Graduate Council has responsibility for "ensuring highest standards of graduate education;" and

1.3 WHEREAS  the Graduate Council and the Division of Graduate Studies have fully reviewed and endorsed the proposal for a new Masters in Immersive Media Communication and recommend that the Provost forward it to the University of Oregon Board of Trustees, the statewide Provost’s Council, and the Higher Education Coordinating Commission for approval:

Section II

2.1 BE IT HEREBY MOVED, on the recommendation of the Division of Graduate Studies, the new Masters degree in Immersive Media Communication is approved (please see Related Documents section for proposal details).
