Section I

1.1  Whereas University of Oregon students who serve in the military and other designated federal service are under legal obligation to comply with orders that may not specifically align with the UO Academic Calendar

1.2  Whereas the University of Oregon is required to comply with ORS 352.293 that requires that students on military and orders receive certain accommodations related to attendance, class completion and leave policies

Section II

2.1 Therefore it be moved that the University Senate approves the Military and Federal Agency Deployment Accommodations Rights Policy as outlined in the related document.
