Motion

 

Section I 

1.1  WHEREAS the Graduate Council is charged by the university Senate to "advise the Vice Provost of Graduate Studies on matters pertaining to graduate study at the University of Oregon;" and

1.2  WHEREAS the Graduate Council has the responsibility for "ensuring highest standards of graduate education;" and

1.3  WHEREAS the Graduate Council and the Division of Graduate Studies have fully reviewed and endorsed the proposal for a new Education Specialist degree in School Psychology and recommend that the Provost forward it to the University of Oregon Board of Trustees, the statewide Provost's Council, and the Higher Education Coordinating Commission for approval; 

Section II

2.1 THEREFORE BE IT MOVED, on recommendation of the Division of Graduate Studies, the new Education Specialist degree program in School Psychology is approved (please see Related Documents section for full proposal details).
