Section I

1.1  WHEREAS the UO Committee on Courses is charged with reviewing and approving changes to courses, curricula, and policies; and

1.2  WHEREAS the UOCC collaborates with the Undergraduate Council and Graduate Council to ensure the relevant committees and councils have been given an appropriate opportunity to review courses and curricular changes to ensure the continued rigor of academic degree programs at the University of Oregon; and

1.3  WHEREAS the meetings schedules and workloads of the UOCC, Undergraduate Council and Graduate Council require discussion and review that extends into late week 9 each term, thereby passing the deadline by which all motion text and related documents are to be submitted to and posted by the University Senate in advance of the final meeting of the term for UO Senate review and approval;

Section II

2.1 THEREFORE BE IT MOVED that the University Senate approves changing the deadline in the UO Senate Bylaws exclusively for the submission and posting of curriculum reports to 48 hours in advance of the UO Senate meeting in week 10 each term (see section 3.7.2 of the UO Senate Bylaws in the Related Document).
