Section I

1.1  WHEREAS Lyllye Reynolds-Parker was a dedicated mentor and advocate whose commitment to student success and social justice continues to inspire those associated with the University of Oregon; and

1.2 WHEREAS the University of Oregon Senate seeks to honor her memory by recognizing individuals who like, Reynolds-Parker, exemplify exceptional mentorship by creating a supportive, inclusive environment and encouraging students to reach their fullest potential;

Section II

2.1  THEREFORE BE IT MOVED that the UO Senate establishes the Lyllye Reynolds-Parker Award to be given each Spring to the UO campus community member who best meets the criteria as described in the related document.
